The S&T plumbing team has experience in all types of commercial plumbing work, including restaurants, box stores, offices, hotels, retail and multi-unit housing. We are able to provide a personal and professional service for any construction project.


Plumbing Foreman

Responsibilities:
  • Guidance of employees to meet schedule deadlines on a daily/weekly basis

  • Work alongside employees including but not limited to setting fixtures, laying or hanging pipe, jobsite layout, etc.

  • Examining work of employees to ensure accuracy as per drawings and proper installation

  • Reporting job progress to management

  • Attend job meetings held by the customer

  • Produce accurate and complete material lists 2 to 3 days before start of each job stage (underground, rough in, trim).

  • Managing the clean up of tools and equipment by employees. Making sure tools and equipment are locked up at the end of each workday

  • Working locations are in a 50 mile radius of Pittsburgh PA

Skills needed:
  • 5 years of experience as a journeyman

  • Must have a valid Allegheny County Journeyman License

  • Strong leadership quality

  • Ability to calculate proper slope for excavation and above-grade plumbing

  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, as well as kitchen and equipment drawings

  • Knowledge of materials including but not limited to PVC, CPVC, Copper, PEX, Black Steel, and No-Hub Cast Iron

  • Knowledge of setting commercial kitchen fixtures such as 3 bowl sinks, grease traps, mop sinks and faucets, dishwashing sinks, floor sinks, and trench drains

  • Ability to pipe multiple restroom layouts below and above grade

  • Knowledge of installing fixture carriers behind walls

  • Anticipate above and below-ground piping conflicts

  • Communicate needs to accomplish schedule to management

  • Must be able to instruct others to accomplish daily/weekly tasks and goals

  • Must be capable of performing plumbing installation in accordance with Allegheny County Code

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable work transportation

  • Must be able to submit material lists on time to keep a steady workflow

Plumbing & Excavation Apprentice/Laborer

Responsibilities:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and transportation to work.

  • Must be willing to commute to the job site within a 50-mile radius of the Pittsburgh area

  • Will be responsible for obtaining personal hand tools.

  • Typical working hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Must be on time for work.

  • Must have a smartphone for clocking in and out of the job.

  • Plumbing experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong work ethic and verbal communication skills
